Drifters
Restaurant, Mumbai
Our client’s brief was to create a warm space that would be appealing to those looking to enjoy craft beer during the day and in the evening. As a focal point, we created a rustic layered wall plaster to add texture to the space and a large chalkboard paint wall with rendering of the beer making process in white. Hanging lights made out of jute ropes complete the visual.
Since the space has a lot of natural light, we used wooden logs to contrast with the other textures. The bar front is made with backlit and repurposed wooden louvered shutters while the community table has a wooden log top and suspended log with greens as a light fixture. The red bricks used for the column and walls emanate warmth as does the furniture, which is made of wood, metal and tiled tops.
